EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)

Landlords Safety certificates / home buyers report, EICR.

From June 2020 the law requires all private rental property to have an electrical safety test in place. The EICR tells the landlord and tenant the condition of the electrical installation and ensures the electrical installation is safe for the use.

The fixed wiring of the property and accessories sockets, light fittings and consumer unit (fuse box) will be inspected and electrical tests carried out.

An EICR must be carried out by 1st July 2020 on new tenancies and by 1st April 2021 on existing tenancies all rental properties must have an EICR at least every 5 years.

It is also advised to carryout an EICR on private properties every 10 years. And is a useful report when purchasing a property.


PAT (Portable Appliance Testing)

We carryout Portable Appliance Testing in a range of settings – hotels, offices, garages etc. and with our testing machines and software are able to track electrical results over time tracking degradation with the appliance and create an asset list of all tested appliances is also supplied.

As part of PAT we can also recommend that your electrical installation could require additional sockets to cope with the number of appliances that you may have.
